Mutual Mews Shopping Centre in Rivonia

333 Rivonia Boulevard, Cor. Eden Crescent, Rivonia, Sandton, Greater Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

This separate little face-brick centre on the opposite side of Rivonia Boulevard from Rivonia Village Shops in central Rivonia looks like it is part of Rivonia Village.  The tenants include a restaurant, two hairdressers, an established bottle store and, following a revamp in August 2013, a tyre dealership.

In the daytime (07:00 - 19:00), they give you only half an hour's free parking at the front and then charge a whopping R10 for an hour, R12 for two hours, and so on –imagine paying an extra R10 because you wanted a sit-down lunch or a long hair appointment!  However there is free daytime parking behind the centre off Eden Crescent and at Early Dawn alongside, the parking in front is free after 19:00, and there is reasonably-priced parking at Rivonia Village opposite.

All shops in the upper level of the double-storey section were closed (June 2013) to make way for Tiger Wheel and Tyre.  Now the only thing upstairs is the toilets.

• The nearest Standard Bank ATM and ABSA ATM are opposite in Rivonia Village Shopping Centre
• The Rivonia Post Office is in the Lower Shopping level at Oriental City Rivonia.  The post boxes are at the corner of Ninth Avenue and Stiglingh Street, on the other side of the Rivonia Village Shops.
