Chilli Lane is the newest and largest of the shopping centres in Sunninghill, on the new extension of Rivonia Road.  As with many successful centres, it is built in a curve, focusing on (and giving an unrivalled view of) the open-air car park, while ignoring the Sandspruit and park behind the centre.

In Chilli Lane you will find branches of many of your favourite restaurants –Nando's, Debonairs, Global Wrapps, Steers, Primi Piatti– and a few that are rare or unique to the centre: Ocean Basket, Doppio Zero, Jacky's Kitchen and Curry Delhi (nice pun!).  There's a DIY Depot (previously Jack's Paint), which seems to be replacing Mica Hardware as the local hardware shop.  There's DVD rental, a small bookshop, several clothing shops, two supermarkets, all major ATMs (but no banks) and many other shops.

Interesting, and unusual, is Troi Sport: They are triathlon and multisport Specialists, selling triathlon clothes, running shoes & gear, bikes, nutrition, swimming gear, cycling gear, wetsuits, bike accessories, sport sunglasses, heart rate monitors. They also do triathlon coaching, travel and event management.  Further reflecting the sport and fitness theme, Optimum Nutrition, supplying sport nutrition and gym nutrition. products.  For when things don't work out, there's a physiotherapist's.  For when they do, there's a Photographic shop (Foto First) and framing (Frame Mart).

The centre is situated on the corner of Rivonia and Leeuwkop Roads in Sunninghill. GPS coordinates: 26º 01' 44.20" S, 28º 03' 36.53" E.  To get there, you would probably travel along Rivonia Road.  From the N1 Motorway, take the Rivonia off-ramp and turn North (away from central Sandton).  From central Sandton, travel north on Rivonia Road and go under the N1.  Cross Witkoppen Road.  Chilli Lane is about 1 km north on Rivonia Road,  the first major shopping centre on your left, with a traffic circle.

Trading Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-18:00, Saturday: 09:00 - 17:00, Sunday and Public Holidays: 08:00 - 13:00.

Parking: There is plenty of open-air parking and a basement floor of underground parking with a car wash.  Parking is free.  There are a few car guards, but theft out of motor vehicles is rife, partly due to the inadequate security cameras, and management is not interested in working with the Community Police Forum to improve matters.
